CO-ED INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED CAMP
Buckwallow Cycling Centre, ON

Have you been riding for a few years and want to progress? Or maybe you're already a solid rider and want to take your skills to the race level.   Whatever your riding abilities, our certified, experienced mountain bike coaches have the skills and knowhow to help you there in the supportive company of other riders. The camp features 2 days of riding and coaching on the XC trails of Buckwallow MTB park.   Accommodation, meals, and admission are included in this amazing weekend.   Prepare to ride like a pro!

Ride Guide:   100% off-road, featuring a mixture of smooth XC singletrack and rough, technical terrain.   There is lots of Canadian Shield rock at Buckwallow - a ton of fun! Suited to strong intermediate to advanced bikers with at least 3 years mountain biking experience and a moderate to high level of fitness who want to improve their bike handling skills. Min. 2 coaches are included (Max. 6 to 1 coach to rider ratio).   Average 5-6 hours of coaching/riding per day.

Fundamentals
Neutral position, bike/body separation, pedal position, gearing, cadence.

Basic Skills
Climbing, descending, braking, cornering, straight-line riding, switchbacks, lunges.

Advanced Skills
Manuals, high speed cornering, drops, rock rolls, riding skinnies, picking a line, technical climbs and descents.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday).
9:30 am Check-in and introductory meeting.
10:30 am   1st skills session: fundamentals
1:00 pm   Lunch
2:00 pm   2nd skills session: basic skills
5:00 pm Dinner
6:30 pm Sunset Ride (~2 hours)
8:30 pm Evening Bonfire

Day 2 (Sunday).
9:00 am   Breakfast
10:00 am   1st skills session: advanced skills 1
12:30 pm   Lunch
1:30 pm   2nd skills session: advanced skills 2
4:30 pm Post-camp awards ceremony
5:30 pm   Head home!
